When the Detroit Zoo needed a more efficient blow down system in the Polk Penguin Conservation Center we answered the call.
The renowned Polk Penguin Conservation Center evokes the harsh conditions of the Antarctic. Here, 75 penguins roam free and explore their habitat. The sky panels mimic a partly cloudy sky and double as a blow down system to remove debris.
The challenge was limited access the sky panels, so the pneumatic solution needed to be totally automated.
Nuair zoned the blow off nozzles and this gently pushed debris to one side of the exhibit. This innovative approach saved money, was more efficient, and simplified the cleaning process. And, the penguins are happy and healthy as a result.
